In Taiwan, depression affects 3-5% of the population, or roughly 700,000 to 1.2 million people, with the actual number likely higher due to underreporting.
To turn the tide, our team set out to build an app by integrating medical mobile-sensed data and improving the user interface and information architecture to overcome challenges and boost engagement. As a UI/UX designer, my goal was to revamp the app to enhance usability, aesthetics, and functionality, ultimately creating a better overall user experience.

The team conducted interviews with ten family groups and used the insights gathered to identify key needs. Our personas included a busy middle-class wife, an elderly retired father living alone, a teenager in a single-income family, and a man working in aviation.
We explored their lifestyles, behaviors, and daily interactions to better understand their needs. Additionally, we documented the experiences of both individuals dealing with depression and their caregivers, as well as their psychiatrists.
